SOBRE NOSOTROS

Our story starts with Mr.Kim - born handicapped and with his mother dying at 7 months old he grew up with a big heart that wanted to help the people around him. At the age of 15 he left school as his disability made it increasingly harder to attend, but this did not stop him wanting to do more for the community. He later started courses in English and Computer as with a vision in the back of his mind he knew these would be vital skills to be able to help others.

At his first job as a typist he was given a small amount of $70 as a wage, but this did not deter him, working hard he gradually became the best in the office and they moved him up to the next floor and provided him with someone to carry him up - at this point he was making $300, a good wage compared to other jobs.

From here he saved his money for 7 years, along the way he met his now wife Khamom. He would often help people and leave himself with no money. He says that people call him 'crazy' including his family members who did not agree with his giving attitude. But that did not stop him, he knew this is what he had to do.

He now owns a small school that allows around 300 students to attend - offering them English, Chinese, Computer, Agriculture and Music lessons, as well as the chance to meet volunteers and learn about their culture.

The people who doubted his passion now see his vision and support him. They called him crazy but we think he just has a crazy big heart.

THE JOURNEY HASN'T ALWAYS BEEN EASY.

During Covid the charity fell bankrupt. Not willing to give up Kim called upon the local community for help to raise funds. The community knew what a vital resource Kim's school was and they banded together to share the story on social media to get the news out there.

Luckily, this was picked up by television and people started to donate from seeing Kim's call for help. People started to donate school supplies and food so that the children could continue their studies.

Our mission is to provide quality education and holistic support to children in undeserved communities. We believe that education is a fundamental right that can break the cycle of poverty and empower future generations.

We envision a world where every child has access to quality education, nutritious meals, and the resources needed to thrive. We strive to cultivate a learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and personal growth.

What do the children get out of attending the I See I Do school...

In addition to education, we provide free meals to our students, ensuring that they have the nourishment needed to focus on their studies. We also contribute to the local villages through donations of resources and support, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
